5005 H34 Aluminium Sheet

5005 H34 Aluminium Sheet

Aluminium alloy 5005 is a medium-strength aluminium–magnesium alloy offering excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion and very good weldability. It is highly suitable for decorative anodising, making it a preferred choice for architectural and aesthetic applications.

Important Note on Anodising:

  • While alloy 5005 is suitable for anodising, streaking may occur. If a critical or uniform anodised finish is required, “Special Anodising Quality” must be specified at the time of order.

APPLICATIONS

Alloy 5005 is commonly used in:

  • • Building applications – roofing, cladding, corrugated sheets
  • • Signage – road signs, nameplates
  • • Food and chemical processing equipment
  • • Furniture and interior fittings
  • • Anodised components
  • • HVAC equipment
  • • Packaging applications
  • • Pipe and tube
  • • Can bodies

Alloy Designations

Aluminium alloy 5005 is recognised under international aluminium alloy standards.

    Temper Types

The most common temper for aluminium alloy 5005 is:

    • H34 – Stabilised temper achieved through low-temperature thermal treatment or heat introduced during manufacture. This process stabilises mechanical properties, relieves residual internal stresses, and generally improves ductility.
